Do your kids get excited when new movies are released? My kids aren’t quite old enough to know such things, but I have to say that I actually get excited because it means something new for them (and lets be honest, me) to watch during the day. I think its clear from the Minnie Mouse post that I’m a huge fan of all things Disney, so we knew we would buy the Sleeping Beauty DVD as soon as it came out to add to our awesome Disney movie collection. I made watching it a special occasion and we had a little princess party with a few of our friends. June thought it was all very fun. I had everyone come in princess dresses and then gave each princess a little set that came with a crown, necklace and earrings. The girls loved it and looks so adorable in all their princess gear! Keep reading for all the adorable pictures and a recipe for Princess Popcorn!
We headed out to Walmart to purchase the diamond edition of Sleeping Beauty and also do some damage in the princess aisle. Like I mentioned I purchased the little tiara sets for each girl (only $5!, a great value), a princess dress for miss June and I couldn’t help but also purchase the above pictured Sleeping beauty characters set. The princess aisle totally reminds me of being a little girl and wanting everything!
The girls totally loved their tiara sets, I love that they came with earrings, a necklace and the crown- so cute! To keep them occupied during the movie, because sometimes we know our littles don’t stay mesmerized the entire time, I printed off Sleeping Beauty coloring sheets from THIS website.
