I try to have pizza night a couple nights a month. This combo is my favorite- chicken, bacon, apple & carmelized onion with smoked gouda, white cheddar & parmesan cheese. Its seriously so good. I use THIS recipe for the crust from Annie’s eats, its so fail proof that i’ve never really used any other. The pizza is easy to put together, just top the crust with a bottled alfredo sauce, then caramelized onions, then thinly sliced apples, cooked chopped up chicken breast meat, crumbled already cooked bacon and then an equal amount of shredded white cheddar, smoked gouda & parmesan cheeses. I bake my pizzas at 450 for 15 minutes. mmmm… i’m getting hungry again just thinking about it 🙂
So normally when i make pizza i make 2, so last night instead of dividing the dough equally into two crusts i used 2/3rds of the crust for our main chicken pizza and then 1/3rd i used for a dessert pizza. I brushed the crust with melted butter and sprinkled a mix of cinnamon sugar on it and then popped it in the oven for 15 minutes, when it looked golden brown. I then topped it with nutella and sliced strawberries. It was a nice little after dinner treat 🙂
