A few weeks ago I helped plan a Relief Society activity at my church called “Bloom Where You’re Planted” we did a lot of fun things that night and one of them was making these cute garden markers. This is an easy craft that anyone can manage. It was also great to do in a large group because all skill levels could complete it and the supplies were pretty minimal, not to mention inexpensive! All you need is chalkboard paint, a paintbrush and paint stir sticks from a hardware store. Lay out some plastic or paper and paint one side of the stir stick, wait for it to dry and then paint the other side. I left the bottom part, where i would put them in the ground, unpainted. Once they are dry you can write on them with chalk or a chalk marker. I highly recommend getting a chalk marker or two if you have other chalkboards in your house, you can draw much easier with them than a piece of chalk. Then place them in your garden! A fast and fun nap time project for ya 🙂
